Things to do in Ullapool

Ullapool is a village of around 1,500 inhabitants in Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands. Despite its small size it is the largest settlement for many miles around and an important port and tourist destination

Below is a list of great things to do in and around Ullapool during your stay.  Our bedrooms at Millview also have a folder with great selection of local things to do in and around Ullapool and the tourist information office is a quick straight walk of 5 minutes from Millview Bed and Breakfast offering services such as booking excursions, transport, accommodation anywhere in the U.K. and are a great source of information on all things Scottish in general.

Seascape Expeditions Ullapool

Seascape Expeditions, Ullapool, Lochbroom and the Summer Isles. Safe, comfortable tours of the seas and coast of Ullapool and Loch Broom. Trips to the Summer Isles encountering seals, sea birds, whale and dolphin.

Corrieshalloch Gorge National Nature Reserve

This mile-long box canyon, through which the River Droma rushes, takes its name from the Gaelic for ‘ugly hollow’. But that’s as far from the truth as can be.

A short steep walk, which is still wheelchair-accessible, will bring you to a Victorian suspension bridge, where you can gaze down over a series of crashing waterfalls cut naturally into a woodland cleft.

Shearwater Cruises, Ullapool, Scotland

Shearwater Cruises (formerly Summer Queen Cruises) operate out of Ullapool in the north west highlands of Scotland. Our boat trips sail Lochbroom, Annat Bay and through the Summer Isles. We land on Tanera Mhor, and see lots of bird and sea life, even dolphins, porpoise and whales
